Thank you ! It helped me to set svn to update by small chunks over a vpn deconnecting after a few minutes:

sudo vpnc-disconnect ; killall -9 svn ; find . -name log -exec rm ‘{}’ \; ; svn cleanup .; sudo vpnc-connect ; svn up &
